As of the first of the year, Johnny's Gym will be known as Johnny's Ultra Total Fitness Club.

We're changing our name to reflect the many changes we've made over the years in the types of clubs we provide for our members. Back in the "good old days" when Johnny himself presided over the workout floor, the name fit--we were just a gym. And now that we're a major health-club chain offering aerobics, swimming, rock climbing, and running tracks--as well as the fine weight-lifting facilities we started with--the old name just doesn't seem to fit any more.

To celebrate our new identity, we'll soon be offering our members a new range of membership and renewal options--not to mention a whole new line of Johnny's Ultra Total Fitness Club T-shirts, tank tops, shorts, and other athletic gear! As the ski season is almost upon us, we're writing to let you know about some very exciting changes happening here at Snowy Mountain Ski Resort.

Snowy Mountain has been acquired by MegaSchuss Resorts, Inc., the management company behind 17 of the 20 top-rated ski areas in North America, including Larch Meadows and Piney Peaks. MegaSchuss will bring to Snowy Mountain the same professionalism and commitment to skier enjoyment and safety that all of their other fine properties are known for.

In addition to upgrading 75 percent of the existing terrain since the acquisition last May, MegaSchuss has added three new high-speed lifts, remodeled both day lodges, and expanded all three bars on the mountain.
